I am a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Philosophy Department at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. I specialize in the philosophy of animals, including animal ethics and animal consciousness, as well as environmental ethics, bioethics, and the ethics of technology. I received my Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Rochester in August of 2024. My dissertation is focused on presenting a new theory of nonhuman animal welfare, which will have implications for issues in animal and environmental ethics. Prior to joining the Philosophy Department at UNO, I was an adjunct professor at the University of Rochester and at the State University of New York, Geneseo. Before coming to Rochester, I was a student at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where I received my Masters in Philosophy, and the University of Vermont.
